Artist Spotlight

The Collective Beat would like to introduce you to one of our newest artists - Yvonne Clough. We love getting to know our new members, and we know you do too!
Yvonne is a Gerringong resident and answered a few questions about her creative process and what inspires her to paint.

“Painting for me is so very therapeutic. As well as feeling a sense of achievement and great satisfaction, it also gives me a lot of pleasure.”

How long have you been doing this? I have been painting for 30 years and only recently took the plunge to sell in a retail environment.

What inspired you to start your business? I was inspired to turn my passion for art into a business with the encouragement of the many admirers of my art and my need to offer these paintings for The Collective Beat customers to purchase and enjoy.

“I love the Collective Beat because it gives me the opportunity to display my artworks along with the other beautiful and clever craft and ideas sold there. I think it is a clever initiative and this is demonstrated by its popularity.”

What’s your bestseller? Quirky emus and inquisitive magpies are definitely firm favourites with everyone. I have sold many paintings over the years, but these seem to be the most popular.

You can find Yvonne’s curious creatures featured on our new Kiama Art Wall.
